ARTIST STATEMENT EXAMPLE
“Temperature is my take on an abstract vinyl album cover. The album cover has many colours, these colours are in an abstract nebula design.
The meanings of these colours represent temperature. The blue represents the freezing cold and yellows / reds represents blistering warmth.
I wanted to make an album cover that was inspired by Pink Floyd and Imagine Dragons album covers. I also wanted to experiment with the very unique art form: liquid dispersion. This technique has been used as a concept for an abstract album cover by Alberto Seveso. The only real difference to the technique of acquiring this effect is that Alberto was computer-generated, whereas mine was created in real-time and then photographed. On top of that, I wanted to test out my photoshop skills. The album cover is made up of photographs with heavy modifications.”
